Suprised

Today's breakfast was rather interesting than usual. Normally I would have either roti canai or noodles for breakfast but today's menu was rather different. Some would say I'm a lunatic for this kind of act. I had the perfect adrenalin to kick start my day while I was driving to work.

I was somewhere near HICOM Shah Alam when I saw this silver Honda Civic. It was the generation before the current ones. Well what can I say, 1.7 liters with V-Tec. Probably churning out 120 to 130 horses on the wheels as compared to my old jalopy which is a Wira 1.8 single cam. We were both standing at probably at 120km/h when he tried to pull away from me and that was when the fun started.

I dropped to 3rd gear and floored it right up to 6000 rpm at probably 170km/h while tailing him closely with him desperately trying to save face as I would presume nobody driving a Wira could tail him this close before. As the traffic got heavier, the both of us looked for an alternative lane to continue our battle without having to brake much. It was getting closer to the Kota Kemuning exit which I was suppose to take.

In a split of a second, there was an opening that just popped up which allowed us to cut in from the right lane straight into the Kota Kemuning exit. It was quite a clear road till the left hander coming up in 3 seconds. The right lane entering to the corner had 3 cars while the left lane was empty. He was about 1 car length from me as he entered the corner. As I approached the corner, I was probably doing 120km/h cutting into the corner without braking while flooring the accelerator. With the faster exit speed, I overtook him as the both of us exit the corner heading on to the straight road that leads to the roundabout.

Weaving left and right between cars at 165km/h till I reached the roundabout with a very angry Civic who has just been humiliated by this old jalopy with his petrified girlfriend in the car. As I took the rounabout slowly to head to my office, the Civic sped off to the other direction with an expression that I can never forget. I'm sure I'll be seeing him very often from now on as we both work around the same area.

Well this is not the first time I've had this kind of encounters before. My previous encounters were much better cars but lacked the courage or brains to emerge victorious in the encounter. The best encounter was racing with a Ferrari through the uphill corners of Bukit Damansara heading to Section 16, Pj.

The other was running with a Lotus Exige from the Puchong toll on KESAS right up to HICOM. He made a wrong move which gave me a chance of blocking him from overtaking me at probably 180km/h. While we were side by side, I was given the "bird" by him to show how pissed he was at that time. I can still remember the look of his car and his face till today.

Anyway, to all the kids that is reading this, please don't try this at home or on any roads as it can be very dangerous. If you guys want some fun, then head on over to the go-kart tracks and speed all you want.

Hope you guys had fun reading this.

Till then.....

Cheers
